Cora Duncan is an Irish artist based in the seaside town of Bangor, County Down. She creates collages and mixed media paintings by using original and found photography, paper, paint and drawing elements.

'I like to make work that's as direct as possible and when I'm working, I'm searching for what feels right and, in order to do that, I'm taking visual inspiration from my dreams, the coast I live on and the surrounding landscape.'

Her work has been featured by the Royal Ulster Academy of Arts annual exhibition held in the Ulster Museum, the Holy Art Gallery in London and in many group exhibitions. She exhibited in 'Art on Loop' in July & August 2023 in Paris, Amsterdam and Brussels.

Cora also interviews fellow artists on her instagram every week and she collaborates with art organisations like the RUA for her popular series 'Cora at the RUA'.

career

Before Cora left university she was already working for a marketing & pr agency which led to marketing posts in various tech companies. After she got her MBA she moved into management consultancy first, for a boutique firm and later, for a Big4 financial services firm. She specialised in strategy development and performance improvement for the finance & banking, retail, public and creative sectors.

After her diagnosis with a chronic illness she left her job to focus on her health and it was during this time that she rediscovered her greatest passion - her love of art.
